Hi, I’m Bob Hallman, my wife is Becky Hallman. We have two boys, John and Mike. I was born in El Paso, Texas. Born again in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1969 at the age of 9 years old. But I really started walking with the Lord until 1977. I moved to Kauai in June of 1996. I’m a pastor and the ministries I am involved in are being a husband to my wife, father to my sons, undersheperd God’s people at Calvary Chapel Kauai, My hidden talents are finances, buying and selling property. My hobbies include spending time with my wife and sons. Surfing, hunting, fishing, camping, running, and spending time with family and friends at the beach or at our house. I also thrive on Divine Appointments, making friends, going on prayer walks with my wife, sharing the Gospel and helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. I have two favorite scriptures one, is 2 Chron 20:12 “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you.” and Isaiah 26:8 “Yes, Lord in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.” What I love most about working at CCK is what God is doing, the fruit He is bearing in all our lives, the incredible people He is gathering together and how much Fun we are all having on this Epic Adventure!
Hello, I’m Chuck Meek , my wife is Carol. I was born in San Diego, CA. I moved to Kauai in 1989. My occupation is a teacher and I am in the worship ministry. My hobbies include reading, playing guitar, windsurfing, biking, and gardening. My favorite scripture is Psalm 1, it reminds me of how God to please God and to be fruitful. What I love about working for CCK is seeing God in the people as they grow in His purpose and being accountable to a body of true believers.
My name is Cathy Pennel. I recently got married to John Pennel. I was born in Manhattan, New York. I moved to Kauai in November 2004. My hobbies include boxing, biking, reading my bible and non-fiction books, cruising the beach, and spending time with my awesome husband! I am sales representative for Title and Escrow. I am a natural teacher and love to sing to the Lord. My favorite scripture is 2 Corth 5:17 ” Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new a creation, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new.” I praise God everyday for saving me from my past and giving me a new creation in Him. Thank You Jesus! Lastly, What I love most about working for CCK is the blessing of getting to serve at CCK. Serving the Lord and seeing others surrender their lives to Christ.
Hi, my name is Becky Hallman, my husband is Bob Hallman. I have two sons, John and Mike. I was born in Honolulu. I first committed my life to Christ at 4 years of age. My walk with the Lord was up and down until I recommitted my life to Christ at the University of Hawaii. As a result of two women from campus crusade sharing with me. I realized I was a carnal christian. Learned how to have a quiet time and have been growing ever since. I moved to Kauai in 1996, I love to go biking, going to the beach and spending time with family and friends. I enjoy being a Homemaker, Leading and Overseeing the Women’s Ministry. I love equipping women as disciplers and leaders and Writing for purpose of helping others. Psalm 84, reminds me that His spirit lives in me, because it expresses a passion for the presence of God. I love quoting Col 3. because of who I am in Christ and how I am to live as His daughter! Lastly, I like working for CCK because I love the people and their hearts for the Lord. I love the healthly vibrant fellowship at CCK!
Hello, I’m Rachelle Nam, but my family call me “Rae”. I have two daughters, Chelsea and Candiss. I returned to Kaua’i about 6 years ago and serve in the church as the Children’s Ministry Overseer. In 1992 I responded to an altar call at a Harvest Crusade held on Oahu. It wouldn’t be until a year later that I truly surrendered my life to Jesus Christ and understood what He did on the cross for me. I grew in my walk at Calvary Chapel Honolulu before I moved back to Kaua’i 13 years later. The ministries I’ve been involved in are Women’s Ministry, Children’s Ministry and for nine years I served as the State Coordinator for Moms In Touch International. I am currently leading a study called Apples of Gold and assist as a leader in the Sermon on the Mount Women’s Study. I love biking and taking long drives around the island. I also love the mission field and traveling. The Lord has been gracious and allowed me to do outreaches in Hong Kong, China, Japan, Ethiopia, Mississippi, Minnesota, Texas and the West Coast. Prayer is my passion and my joy. It is my prayer that my life will always be a living testimony of God’s goodness and mercies as He answers prayer beyond what I can ever imagine or think. My life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 which says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path. This is the first scripture God revealed to me and it’s the first scripture I ever memorized. Now, I am blessed to be part of the family at Calvary Chapel Kaua’i. He has used this fellowship to help me grow even more in the grace and knowledge of His Son Jesus Christ. He has given to me many of my hearts desires like learning how to disciple others in having a quiet time, opening opportunities to teach other women His word and also to younger women as Titus 2:3-5 exhorts us to. I am looking forward to all that He has for me because He will not withhold anything good from me! There’s nothing like seeing God’s Word and His promises come alive through the body of Christ. It’s amazing!
