New Believers’ Resources

Welcome to God’s Ohana!

Aloha,

Congratulations on your new relationship with God!  Welcome to God’s family!  Without question, this is the most important decision you have ever made.  The moment you prayed to receive Christ as your Savior, you became a child of God (John 1:12) – forgiven of your sins, reconciled to God and destined for eternal life (1John 5:13).

The prayer you prayed today is not the end, but rather the beginning of a new relationship between God and yourself.  The apostle Paul put it this way:  “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.  The old has gone, the new has come” (2Corinthians 5:17).  It’s not everyday you get a second change in life!  But that’s exactly what God has given you through His Son, Jesus Christ.

In addition to the materials enclosed in this packet, I’d like to offer you a few practical suggestions to help you grow spiritually:

1.     Develop you friendship with your Heavenly Father by learning how to read the Bible and pray (see pamphlet, “How to Have a Quiet Time”).

2.     Attend a Christian church regularly.  If you are not worshipping anywhere, seek a church where Jesus Christ is exalted, the Bible is preached with authority and where you can be encouraged in fellowship with other Christians.  Small group Bible studies will help you grow in our friendship with God and with other brothers/sisters in Christ.

3.     If you would like someone to disciple you, feel free to ask a leader or email us at cck@calvarykauai.org

4.     Be a witness of Jesus Christ by the way you live, and share your faith as God leads you.

We look forward to meeting you and getting to know you.  You’ve begun a new chapter in your life – a wonderful journey with God has begun.  And we look forward to being a part of it with you!

In the meantime, if we can help you in any other way or if you would like more information about Calvary Chapel Kauai, please call our church office at 821-2228 or visit our website at http://calvarykauai.org

Your friend in Christ,
